Gift Season

So I started reading all these pre Xmas gift guides and as in lockdown wanted to do engage with capitalism… aka do some fantasy shopping. Here are my recommended things to get online now to give them rather than see and infect them.

Things I actually would love to miraculously appear as gifts for myself: from some anonymous sugar parent who wants to see me living well: small Prada panier bag in black or brown, an APC quilt, Christopher Kane More Joy doormat, a Smythson black phone case on a chain, Stussy Dice T in a size small, Margaret Howell cashmere polo neck, and of course a vintage Thonet ‘Cesca’ chair because it has my name on it. I am aware I’ll probably get literally nothing this year but I can dream. And just a crumb of the giant book list: Cy Twombly Homes and Studios, Hito Steyerl I Will Survive catalogue, Seth Price Dedicated to Life publication.

Things you should get for others: Amanda Harris Williams’ Evolution Long Sleeve T $50 with profits going to changing education funds and other anti-fascist organisations. It also looks very good

Sundy are about to launch from editions under £200 with 50% of profits going to Southwark Foodbank from Marco Bruzzone, Kate Mackeson, Sam Austen, Fani Parali and Henrik Potter (pictured below).

For mushrooms fans, editions from @seanagavin (new shroom coming), A Mycological Foray while you still can at Donlon as it appears to have sold out via the publisher, and of course Merlin Sheldrake’s fungi blockbuster book Entangled Life.
