Author of 11 books on visual culture including Final Copy, Rough Version, Watch This Space, 100 New Artists and Hell Bound: New Gothic Art; Former Artistic Director of viennacontemporary, Vienna’s leading international art fair; Co-curator the Manifesta11 biennial in Zurich and curator of international exhibitions internationally including The Art of Mushrooms (Fundação de Serralves, Porto), Mushrooms (Somerset House, London), The Dark Cube (Palais de Tokyo, Paris), and The New Psychedelia (Mu, Eindhoven).
